the long weekend

Seems like things happened...

I worked in the garden most of the weekend. Got the vegetable garden turned. Mowed the lawn. Went to the garden store and bought vegetable plants and flowers. If I'd spent less time on my ass this weekend, I would have gotten in planted before the rain. Now I'll have to wait for days.

It was warm on Saturday and Sunday, and even hot on Monday, until the rain came through.

I skipped gaming on sunday, and Cyn and I watched more Doctor Who.

Monday, they brought a Huey into town for the Memorial Day commemorations, so I went down to see that. They were doing flights most of the weekend, but none of them came over our house.

I'm having the whisky club meeting at my house tomorrow night, so I'll have to be cleaning the house tonight. There will be twelve of us. Not sure how we'll all fit.

I am going to have to break down and buy pepper plants. Everything else from seed did exceptionally well, except those. I hope Kathy's still has peppers. She is the only place I can get something other than red orange or yellow bell peppers.

Both. Most of them I purchased, but it was in 2013. In the middle of winter I bought two really gorgeous large bell peppers, and I saved the seeds from those. Those seeds were the last batch I planted inside the house, and only one of 18 came up. Kathy's didn't have any good peppers, so I just got bell peppers. I have since dumped every non bell pepper seed I have in pots outside to see if anything comes up. I will buy new seed for next year.
