unless I have something in it that is worth taking. Or if I'm in the city. Last night when I was in Milwaukee, I forgot to lock it. The change was still in the ash tray. I think everything was still in the glove compartment. The seat was moved all the way up, so I knew someone had been in it. I looked everywhere, even under the hood, but everything seemed okay (still had a battery). After I got home, I realized I had never taken my hiking boots out of the back (maybe this will teach me not to procrastinate). They are gone. They were old, but not worn out yet. Or maybe they were - I never quite figured out if they were bothering my feet or not. I guess this is a good excuse to buy new ones. I'll have to look for cheap ones, though.

It was a nice picnic. Willie & Lobo were good. A guitar and violin. Very "world". Latin guitar. A little classical influence. The weather was great (clear and dry, and just a bit cool).

Wayne brought doughnuts because it is his last day with us. He was on loan from another division, for two weeks, while they were shut down. I had a chocolate frosted creme filled one. It turned out to have that creme that is more like frosting, instead of the usual pudding like stuff.

Now I can't give blood, because of all the sugar in my blood. At least that's my story. They're having a blood drive, but I'm not giving. I imagine I would pass out and not wake up for fifteen minutes, and then be all woozy and falling down the rest of the day. I suppose that's wrong of me. I know it is important. I just... won't.

Too bad it's not closer to the end of the day. I could give blood and then go out and get really drunk really quick. I'd be a real cheap date.

I didn't catch what time it was that I turned the light out last night. It felt like I hadn't fallen asleep at all when the clock said 1:23. Then it felt like hours later when the clock said 3:20. Then it didn't feel like any time at all went by when the alarm went off at 7:00.

Woo-woo! I got it!

I've never gone on any music swapping sites (a la Napster). I've had neither the time nor the inclination - okay, time. Wayne was saying how much he was enjoying downloading music on our T1 line, and burning discs on our nice new computers. I said I never had, and he told me to come take a look. He asked what I wanted him to search for on WinMX. I said "A Celebration", by U2. There were three people who had it. I've been wanting that song for years. It is a B-side to an early single (I forget now, what the A-side was). UK only. It has never been released on CD. I've got twenty seconds of the video buried somewhere on a tape. I imagine the single sells for hundreds of pounds. But now I have the song!
