I don't lock my car
Aug. 17th, 2001 09:06 amunless I have something in it that is worth taking. Or if I'm in the city. Last night when I was in Milwaukee, I forgot to lock it. The change was still in the ash tray. I think everything was still in the glove compartment. The seat was moved all the way up, so I knew someone had been in it. I looked everywhere, even under the hood, but everything seemed okay (still had a battery). After I got home, I realized I had never taken my hiking boots out of the back (maybe this will teach me not to procrastinate). They are gone. They were old, but not worn out yet. Or maybe they were - I never quite figured out if they were bothering my feet or not. I guess this is a good excuse to buy new ones. I'll have to look for cheap ones, though.
It was a nice picnic. Willie & Lobo were good. A guitar and violin. Very "world". Latin guitar. A little classical influence. The weather was great (clear and dry, and just a bit cool).
