A friend of the wife of a friend was interrogated (seriously) by the FBI. Her husband is a soccer player. She sends packages to him when he's traveling out of the country. This time she sent a package to him in the Caribbean that contained (among other things) Gatorade. Gatorade? You guessed it - in powder form.

One good sign is that they really check USPS shipments closely now. On the other hand, I don't see how you'd find something like that with and X-ray, so they must have opened it up. I hate when they do that.

And I wonder where you get Gatorade in powder form. I've been looking for it for a long time. They don't have it around here.

On Saturday evening, Cyn and I went to see a friend's band, Battlestar Cadillactica. I figured since there were three bands playing that night, the first would start before 10:00. Nope. We got there early, and it turned out to be really early. The second band, Quark Quintet, was holding their debut performance. They had asked Battlestar to headline for them, but since they booked the show, they took the best time slot, and didn't worry when they ran overtime. They took an extra twenty minutes to set up, and still paid their entire 1:15 set. This left Battlestar only thirty minutes for their headlining set. Mike, the drummer, was pissed. He was hot. He had way too much angry energy to be used up during their short set. My friend Jeff, was rather more pragmatic about it. He's an easygoing guy. He was mad, but he didn't really show it much. He has little respect for that band, but, as he said, "anger is irrelevant."

Anyway, Cyn and I didn't get home until 2:30.

Yesterday afternoon, Cyn and I decided we didn't need to do any more work around her place. We left to go over to an old cemetery to shoot some pictures. When we decided this, the sky was mostly clear. We stopped by Home Depot first. As we left there, a storm came in. Strong wind, cold and rain. There was some ice in that rain too. So we went back home. A few minutes later, the wind and rain had stopped. So we went on over to the cemetery. It was still raining over there, but before long the sun came out. At the time, we were on top of the hill, by the old chapel, where there was a beautiful orange maple tree. The sky to the east was that stormy, deep blue-gray, and there was a rainbow in it for a few minutes.

I have quite a few cemetery pictures now, and I hope to post some of them for you. No promises, though. ;-)
