We saw the Frank Lloyd Wright exhibit at the art museum, today. It was pretty cool. It was crowded, especially at first. I guess I went slowly enough that the crowd passed me by. It was kinda cool to see all the plans of Taliesin, since we were just there last May. I was impressed with what they had to say about the Bogk House, here in Milwaukee. I'd really like to tour it. (I wonder if they ever give tours.) I also spent a lot of time looking at the plans for the S.C. Johnson Wax company. I've never gotten a good look at what it's like, so I enjoyed being able to study it. I could see some of the technical details, in addition to the overview.

Awesome! I always enjoyed our tours of the Robie House and seeing the items that are in Art Institute and the Smart Museum. I would love to see Fallingwater too.

We plan to tour Taliesin West when we go to Phoenix in April. I'm looking forward to that.

Yes, Tal West would be very cool to see. I had never even really seen pictures of it.

I'd love to see the Robie House too.

Glad you liked it. You could try to see Johnson Wax sometime. They give free tours, but only on Fridays, and only 1/2 hour inside. You need to make a reservation. But it's one of my favorite buildings by him - you really have to get inside it to experience it. The model doesn't do it justice.

It's nice seeing the plans of Taliesin, of course. I've seen them before, or just xeroxes of them, but to study them to see all the erasures and things is always nice.

And the Bogk house might get back on one of the "Wright & Like" tours, held in June from http://www.wrightinwisconsin.org. It's still privately owned, and I've never seen the inside; just photographs.

I've seen the pics of the atrium, of course, and the outside of the research tower. I was surprised to see how much of a complex there was. I liked seeing a few of the construction details too.

I have seen pics of the inside of the Bogk house, but the exhibit really explained why it was so fantastic. All the contrast and balance.
