A collection of images from around the city...

The aqueduct, where it crosses the river.

The courtyard of Dave's apartment building.

An art installation we saw. "Pray" by Franz Kleinsek

An exhibition in a plaza, of artists decorating large watermelon slices.

A large auditorium. This was at the top of our walk up the hill.

I was amused by this. It says "cueda," but I see "cuidado." "Cueda" means "take care of," while "cuidado" means "look out" or "beware of." So I see look out for the toothy maw of the plants!

This was my hotel.

It's funny, you walk into the hotel at night. You go through a door, and then you're in an open space with a table and chairs, and some plants. And the ceiling is black. It's a calm, clear night, and you're tired from traveling, and it's not until the next morning, when the sun comes in your window, that it sinks in that the courtyard is open to the sky.

Teatro Mecedonio Alcala

Feathered serpents on the sconces.

A restaurant we ate at a couple of times. There's a TV there. They were watching Malcolm in the Middle when we first came in.

Most of the clouds I saw in the time I was there. The top of that mountain is pretty flat. I assume that is Monte Albán, with the Zapotec ruins.
