tired

I didn't sleep very well last night. My neighbors were noisy, and I had a moth in the room. I woke up twice because it was flying into my arm. It was flapping into the wall noisily enough to make me notice several times throughout the night. Sometime after five o'clock, I was able to open the shade and it stayed on the screen. I wasn't sleep very soundly though, or it wouldn't have woken me up.

I've gotten to bed at a reasonable time for the last two nights, and I'm still so tired.

There was a food fight at Cedarburg High School last April. Two of the seniors who started it were adults (18 and 19) so were charged with disorderly conduct. One paid a $150 fine. The other has 40 hours of community service. They had smuggled in large amounts of food, such as eggs and bags of flour.

You ever buy chips in the store? Potato chips or tortilla chips or the like? You've probably seen how they're half full of air. The manufacturers do this to make it look like theirs are bigger, and you're getting more chips.

Wouldn't you be impressed if you picked up a bag and it was full? Aren't most of us more impressed by value than size? Wouldn't it seem so much heavier, and therefore a better deal?

Motown

The DJ on the 9 to noon show mixed a lot of Motown into his show. That was cool. The 3 to 6 show has been all Motown. After two and a half hours, it is starting to get old.

I painted on my garage. I got most of the front done in a little less than two hours (until dark).

I had a Roxy Music song in my head for a while, since Ana had mentioned the show, and I saw it mentioned in the paper (for Rosemont IL). Then, for some reason, I got some Springsteen in my head too.

When I came in, I didn't feel like seaarching for my Roxy Music disc and Greetings from Asbury Park, NJ was not in the rack, so I took the nearest disk, which was Patti Smith's Gone Again.

It probably doesn't interest anyone to hear that both the Roxy and Smith records have Dylan covers on them.
