the weekend
Sep. 8th, 2015 12:31 pmThursday, I was off work, and Cyn took off early. We went to the Museum, looking for bugs. They have live ones on exhibit. We stopped at a Himalayan place for dinner. Good food, and they also have a great selection of whisky.
Saturday was the Highland Games. I spent all day there in the heat and humidity and got very dehydrated. My stepmom was there too, and felt so bad she didn't come back the next day. And she was under a tent all day.
I went again on Sunday and took Cyn. Some cousins were having a family reunion. They get together at Uncle Denver's place every Labor Day weekend. Many of them came to the games, so we got to meet some of them there. Particularly Tim and his wife Sherry. Matt's daughter Hanna was dancing the Irish dance competition. She took second in both her events.
We went to Denver's house afterwards, and there were more people there for pizza and pies. I thought it would be just Denver's immediate family (his five kids), but some of their cousins were there too. Denver is my dad's cousin, so that makes him and his family second cousins to me.
We spent most of our time talking with Tim and Sherry. They were fun and friendly. I wouldn't mind visiting them in Pennsylvania.
Sunday I putzed around the house, and mowed the lawn.
